Volunteers Assemble Bicycles for Children of Active-Duty Military and First Responders, Hundreds of Employees from Companies Affected by 9/11 Volunteer for the Event

The 9/11 Tribute Museum team would like to thank our sponsors, supporters, and volunteers for making our 11th Annual 9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance a great success! Over 400 employees from companies in Lower Manhattan came together to assemble 500 bicycles to donate to the children of United States military serving in the 82nd Airborne and New York City first responders.

Thank you especially to our partners who supported the event – BNY Mellon presenting sponsor, Allstate Insurance Company, Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, Citigroup, CME Group, The Durst Organization and Zurich North America.

Every year, hundreds of our employees volunteer in recognition of the National 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance as a meaningful way to acknowledge those who serve our country. This is a wonderful opportunity to honor our servicemen and women, and my colleagues and I are proud to volunteer with the 9/11 Tribute Museum once again.

Special thanks to Apex Xpress Inc., the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, Port Authority of NY & NJ, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and Westfield World Trade Center and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Group for generously supporting the event.

The 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is especially meaningful for the 9/11 Tribute Museum.  As Jennifer Webb, CEO explains, “At the 9/11 Tribute Museum, people directly affected share their stories and how voluntary acts of service have changed people’s lives.  The 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance is a fun day of team building and generosity, in honor of the support NYC received after 9/11.”

Thank you to Apex Express and Rubenstein Public Relations for their services.  Appreciation to the World Trade Center restaurants Eataly Downtown, Pret a Manger, Shake Shack, and Sweetcatch Poke who helped feed our hard working volunteers!
