Remember that first, brand-new bicycle that you got when you were a tot? For some of the children who receive bikes built by the more than 500 employees from companies directly impacted by 9\/11 this will be the first new bike they will have ever owned.<\/p>\n
This afternoon Lori Decker and Luke St. Clair from Motorola Solutions Foundation stopped by to deliver our award and visit the newly opened 9\/11 Tribute Museum. They were accompanied by CEO, Jennifer Adams-Webb and Michael Hurley.<\/p>\n
Motorola is a proud participant of Tribute\u2019s annual Bike Build, it is part of the Motorola\u2019s efforts to support local communities and encourage their employees to give back. Last year Motorola was part of a host of companies including AON Risk Services, BNY Melon, Sandler O. Neill & Partners LP, Zurich and others who assembled bicycles to donate to the children of active-duty United States military with help from soldiers from Fort Hamilton and first responders from the New York Police Department, the Fire Department of New York and the Port Authority Police Department.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re hoping to exceed last year\u2019s Bike Build.
