This 32 minute long documentary tells the stories of seven families, who lost loved ones on 9\/11 and dealt with their grief by creating memorial quilt panels.[\/vc_column_text][mk_blockquote font_family=”none” font_size_combat=”true” text_size=”24″]This project which I began in 2002 was a labor of love about the lives of ordinary people coping with extraordinary circumstances and refusing to remain powerless.<\/em><\/p>\n

  • Leroy Homer Jr. –<\/b> co-pilot United Flight 93, plane crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.<\/li>\n
  • Lt. Steven Bates –<\/b> a firefighter who had no immediate family.<\/li>\n
  • Paul Beatini –<\/b> an engineer, didn\u2019t work in the towers, was there for a meeting.<\/li>\n
  • Sandra Wright –<\/b> had just become a grandmother, commuted four hours daily.<\/li>\n
  • Peter Anton Klein –<\/b> a first generation American, had just married.<\/li>\n
  • Clive Ian Thompson –<\/b> who brought his family here from London and had
    \nalready survived the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in 1993.<\/li>\n
  • Vincent Boland Jr. –<\/b> 25, who had recently moved out of his family\u2019s home in
    \nNew Jersey, eager to begin a new life in Manhattan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    After the screening, the filmmaker will talk about how creating art provided her with a window into the lives lost.
